Leap 42.1 + KDE + Software Update

In Leap 42.1 with KDE, if you log out of your account and log in again
without rebooting, then the update checker complains that the “Autorization
failed. You have failed to provide correct authentication”.

Well, how do you provide the correct authentication?

Known bug logout and back on in 5 in should reset it.

Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it does not reset it and the error
keeps appearing. Only when I log in automatically it works the check for
updates works.
Anyway, if this is a known bug I’ll look forward to the update. Cheers!

Which bug is it? I’ve been searching the openSUSE Bugzilla and not turning up anything resembling this bug… so far anyway.

I started an earlier thread on this same issue (with a little more info)… uid 1000 failed to obtain auth error on "Check for Updates" in Plasma5 - Applications - openSUSE Forums

It’s the one everybody was talking about here: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/510883-LEAP-automatic-software-updater

Just uncheck Software Updates in System Tray Settings and reboot seems to work eventually. It’ll get patched soon enough.
