Fresh install. Doing “sudo zypper update” tells me I have 1.6 gig of updates to install but, when I accept, I get the following error message on several of the update files including MozillaFirefox and the kernel update:
Error: “end of response with 24668080 bytes missing”
, trying next mirror.
After trying several mirrors the update fails in the end with “files missing”.
Any help would be appreciated.

Run sudo zypper clean and sudo zypper ref -f first, then try again.
It would be helpful to not only know what might help, but also what is the cause of the inconsistent update situation?
A bug possibly?
Mirror-sync still in progress?
Network problem?
Just to name a few more possibilities.
Thanks for the reply but running the commands you suggested before doing the update had no effect - same error messages on the same update packages.
Should point out that I used the offline installer to do the installation and I’ve done it several times with the same result. Tried doing updates to zypper and repos first before other packages but still unsuccessful. Tried zypper, Discover and Myrlyn, all same
In the end, after lots of mucking around, I gave up. Did the installation with the online installer and that worked fine.
could you run zypper -vv dup and past the output
and could send the logs in /var/log/zypper.log
hopefully we can find a clue to what’s happening
