Leap 15 Alpha/Beta: Error: Installation system does not match your boot medium

Hi,
i downloaded on 10. Feb. openSUSE-Leap-15.1-NET-x86_64-Build406.2-Media.iso, wrote it to a USB stick using imagewriter ( open an openSuse box).
I used this stick to successfully install an Intel NUC box.

On Friday 14. Feb. I wanted to install another Intel NUC and it failed. The graphical Installer was not showing up anymore, but a strange error message:
Installation system does not match your boot medium.

The message box also gives the option to download something; But that did not help at all.

Sorry to say that, but IMHO that message is not really helpful to a not so experienced user.

Today I finally found out what it really means. The USB Stick contains Leap 15.1 Alpha, and the on the fly downloaded Installation system was already Leap 15.1 Beta.

I fixed the issue, by downloading a fresh NET .iso image and re-writing the USB-Stick.

Plz improve that error message. Give a better explanation.
The Option to download … did not work (for me). Is it useful to have that option ?

I have run into that message, but the cause was different.

I was trying to do an install into a KVM virtual machine, using a USB for the installer. But I had previously setup a downloaded iso as a virtual DVD for the same virtual machine. I don’t remember the full details, but I think the iso for the DVD was for Tumbleweed, while the USB was for Leap 42.3.

Apparently when booting the installer (that would be the 42.3 installer) it searches through attached drives to find the device from which it is being installed. And while I was trying to install from a USB, it had instead found the DVD device with a completely different version. Hence the mismatch.

Since then, I have remembered to disconnect any iso file from the DVD of the virtual machine before trying to install from a USB.
