Leap 15.6 dup brings "29 problem" questions, blacklisted nouveau, and non-revival from suspend?

LOL . . . thanks for that effort; that time it did go through, without asking the 29 questions!!! Only 1042 packages to upgrade . . . . I’ll post back when they have run through . . . .

I’m still hoping to get nouveau back as the video handler, so that I can get “revival from suspend” function back.

Marking this one as solved . . . and it seems like nouveau is back online and revival from suspend is working . . . .

I can see from my various threads that some of these issues are recurring . . . .

Wondering if the recently revamped repos will continue to let me access the “lp” kernels, which have proven to be better at avoiding some of these recurring problems???

This repo is still activated. So you should be able to use the backport kernels. It is this repo:

Thanks very kindly for the assist on it . . . . I haven’t had a previous experience where repos were “adjusted” by the system, resulting in these kind of problems . . . . and,still not quite acclimated to how openSUSE sets up the repos vs say in my Deb/buntu systems . . . .

Happy that the backport repo is extant in my Leap system.
