Well, I do actually use some Flatpaks (where needed — I don’t have a general problem with like some others…) — but for a system-integrated system-tool? That should be covered by system, i.e. distribution. Otherwise I could run almost everything by Flatpak than as distribution repository releases… Or is this the new way (like some distributions try to show)?
Well, all I can really say is - it was 2-3 mouse-clicks to install it and I was using it immediately. Sometimes installing | using Flatpaks is just less of a hassle. And if you contemplate you are only going to test the app, it’s also 1-2 clicks to un-install it and its dependencies.
In another thread (some time ago) we were discussing Cockpit (for 15.6), and an openSUSE Administrator recommended installing the Flatpak version, to avoid potential complications. Click-and-go, as some might say 
More info … when you fire up the Cockpit Flatpak, you will be in “user level” mode. Simply click the “Admin mode” and provide credentials, and it will switch to Admin mode.
@C7NhtpnK If you running Aeon or Kalpa, then yes Flatpaks are a thing 
I use the flatpak version here since I have one application on one host and connect to multiple machines, no need to install anything on a remote host. You can do it with the rpm packages and install cockpit-bridge on the remote if want to do it that way…
I now actually tried Flatpak. Yes, that one DOES work.

But that’s just the way it is. So, Flatpak for at least trying Cockpit on a first view. I won’t upgrade to Leap 16.0 early, but rather lately I guess. For me, this major change is too “bleeding”…
But I kind of would like to give Xfce Wayland a try. It is said to be built in in 16.0 (and should be possible somehow in 15.6).
And for the last so far, does anyone run myrlyn on 15.6? (Or do you all use 16.0 ß or RC?)… I would try some of the upcoming things first on 15.6 before upgrading (and having no alternative any more!).

No Myrlyn on 15.6 - pretty sure it’s not available (although, it might be in some special repo - I’ve had no desire to investigate).
I’m running Leap 16 RC in a VirtualBox … so Myrlyn is there.
I’m not doing any serious work in 16 (VM). And I’ll probably wait for one or two minor releases, before I commit it to a bare metal (non VM) installation. I read this sentence in another post in the forums: “Leap 15.6 will keep getting updates
until 30th April 2026.”. … so, no rush for me

Or you can get it from openSUSE Software; open “unsupported distributions” where SUSE:SLE-15:GA is hiding. That’s the updates repo for SLE-15 / Leap 15 which you need in this case.
Or you can build it from source, of course.
For personally me, upgrading from 15.6 to 16.0 looks like a huge step — where obstacles could be possible.
Sadly I don’t run any VMs so I could safely test. I just have a single system — being stable, working and responsive — and I need it stable, working and responsive!

However…
I’ve tried Cockpit by Flatpak (as mentioned above) but I cannot find all the nice and important thins I could do with YaST. Do I have to run these by CLI in the future? — Or are settings like them not needed any more in the future once a system has been installed properly?

Any further comments? Appreciated! As I am in some fear of upgrading from 15.6 to 16.0. I am really afraid. … Let’s see what will happen after Oct 15th when masses upgrade. More support requests by people asking as dumb and humble like me?
