Leap 15.6 - "bling"-sound on shutdown

Hello everyone,
I did install the opensuse Leap 15.6 Beta on my framework 13 laptop (AMD Ryzen 5 7640).

So far everything works fine out of the box, but there is one issue:
When I shut down the notebook there is a strange “bling” - noise. Very short, very loud.

Someone knows how to dive deeper into this?

Best regards,

You could start by describing more precisely when this noise happens.

Hello,
I go to shutdown, then the screen with the 30sec timer appears. And when I push shutdown again (to immediately shut down) the noise appears for a brief moment. The laptop shuts downs normally afterwards.

I think it is some kind of notification sound that tries to pop up the moment i press shut down…

Thus it could be that the logout makes it and not the shutdown?

I any case, the desktop you use was not mentioned by you.

It is kde plasma.
The sound only appears on shut down. Log off does not trigger the sound.

Check your notification settings in systemsettings…

So I do not have a sound configured on logout.
Here is a short video with the sound:

I do not have a Logout sound configured. I also disabled the “signalton” which I thinks is the sound I am hearing.

But even when this is disabled the sound appears on shutdown.

I experienced the same thing with a startup sound. You might try Global Theme → System Sounds which is some new thing that was added which seems to overlap those other notification sound settings. These sound themes seem to be all or nothing.

I would disable all sounds in systemsettings for testing purposes.

Additionally it is possible that it is a motherboard beep.

So I found out which sound in notification gets triggered in the kde plasma workspace settings:

Anyone can tell me where I can find logs to see what triggers the sound?
