Do you mean you have nvidia-utils-G06 and /usr/bin/nvidia-xconfig is missing?

@arvidjaar found it: during one of the the numerous re-installs I did since opening the topic, utils-G06 was left out at some point. I installed it and problem solved: X11 and Wayland working across both monitors. Thank you.

@malcolmlewis Thank you for pointing me to the relevant log files and with systematically troubleshooting the issue.

I have a suspicion that utils-G06 may have needed a re-install, since its removal and addition seem to have fixed the issues I was having with X11 before I removed the nvidia packages.
