Leap 15.2 to Leap 15.3 upgrade confilcts - what to do?

I am attempting to upgrade Leap 15.2 to 15.3 from a DVD using the default settings for everything including repositories, etc. When I get the to point where the upgrade setting are shown, there is a message along the lines of “all conflicts cannot be resolved - manual intervention necessary”. Unfortunately, I do not know what to do.

I saved the conflict list to a file and here is the text -

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to properly resolve this without creating more conflicts? I tried the two keep options, and they seem to result in more conflict messages. I would hope to avoid any further conflicts if possible.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I have samba 4.11.14 installed on Leap 15.2 and I use it as a file share for a windows network.

You want to install Leap 15.3, so deinstall all Leap 15.2 packages:

] deinstallation of libndr0-32bit-4.11.14+git.247.8c858f7ee14-lp152.3.19.1.x86_64

] deinstallation of libldb2-32bit-2.0.12-lp152.2.9.1.x86_64

Thank you for your reply.

I tried this one

 ] deinstallation of libndr0-32bit-4.11.14+git.247.8c858f7ee14-lp152.3.19.1.x86_64

as I thought that I might be able to find the other 15.2 package in the list of packages, however, it was not there. I then did the upgrade and after rebooting, the spinner appeared, stayed active for a while, then disappeared; however, I never got the login prompt. There is no choice to remove both packages as the choices in the list are exclusive. However, after choosing the option I did, there were no further conflict warnings.

Fortunately, in cases like this, I always do an image backup, and I subsequently restored the 15.2 image.

I will try removing the other 15.2 package in the next upgrade try. Thanks for bold-facing the lp152 portion of the file name. The one other thing I noticed is that on rebooting after the upgrade process had completed, one of my internet NIC appeared to be in a weird state as the data light on my modem was not flashing. So, I tried a complete power down and rebooted again, but the same thing happened, i.e., spinner appears, disappears, then the login prompt never appeared.

This time, when the upgrade processes gets to reboot, I will completely power down the PC, then restart.

Thanks again.

I use:

zypper dup --allow-vendor-change

For upgrading from Leap 15.2 to 15.3.

So I have not as many dependency problems.

Also I use not as much Repos…

With the restored 15.2, I did an online upgrade, and that completed without any warnings. However, when booting the system, the system still shows the spinner for what seems like a long time, and then the spinner disappears without giving me a login prompt.

Since this seems to have resolved the conflicts from my original post, *(https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/556334-Upgrade-from-15-2-to-15-3-will-not-boot-default-boot-entry-only-boots-recovery-boot-entry) as that seemed the appropriate thing to do.

Thanks for all the help.*
