Hi all
I have the following problem, as soon as I login kde freeze, mouse does not respond and so do any keys.
I re-installed the system from scratch and no changes, I try also to change distro (tryed with mint) but same results.
May be some problem with graphic card?
It very well could be, but without more information, there’s nothing anyone can help you with. What graphic card to you have? Do you have a laptop with two GPUs? How old is it? Start by showing us output from
inxi -ba
pasted here using code tags around your paste. This output can be redirected to a file on a USB stick to possibly make it easier to share. The exactly model of your PC or laptop and its date of manufacture could also be useful.
Does it help if you log into an IceWM or other session instead of KDE?
Did you try booting using Grub’s failsafe (advanced) option?
Before the KDE login – basically the system seems to be running – the installation GUI presumably executed OK – from a VT (tty1 … tty6 – <Ctrl-Alt-F1> … <Ctrl-Alt-F6>) can you please, with the user “root”, check the systemd Journal for any entries indicating a system issue.
Also, check the journal entries related to previous boots for issues around X11 and KDE …
Also, check the user’s ~/.local/share/sddm/xorg-session.log for any hints as to why the previous login attempt failed.
Also, check /var/log/Xorg.0.log for any issues related to X11 and SDDM initialising.
