ldap client

Where does the ldap browser ( from yast ) store it’s
login information. I have entered the wrong details
in the ldap client bit and even tho’ I changed it using
the ldap client again the ldap browser always uses
the original details and ignores the corrections

Check the /etc/ldap.conf file

That seem right but the ldap browser still insists on using the wrong settings

you are, of course, welcome to hang out here hoping someone who knows
will come along, see your question and provide you an answer…

i don’t have a clue, but if it were me, on the 25th of last month i
would have asked the source (right after i read skimmed/searched all the
documentation, FAQ and whatever is available on the net or at the
source: http://www.openldap.org/)

maybe one of these will be helpful:

Been to those sites, got the T-shirt etc

All the places that the documentation says are correct but the ldap browser in Yast still
uses something else … I guess I can search the whole machine for that string and work it out from there…

Thanks anyway

if you certain it is an openSUSE problem then it must be, so you need to
talk with the packager, you can catch him/her or someone who know the
real answer in either IRC or a mail list…so, get another T-Shirt or
two from here:

http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Communication_channels

it someone there tells you it is not an openSUSE problem, perhaps the
final T-Shirt will come from the source: http://www.openldap.org/lists/

if you do that (or run into someone who knows the answer) please come
back here and give the solution so those who follow a google into the
problem can be more lucky than you…thanks…
