Something went wrong when I rebooted after an upgrade earlier in the week and I received a message that the (installed) system could not be verified and that the system would be halted.
I attempted to re-install from the latest source, openSUSE-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-Snapshot20210427-Media.iso - I received the same message. Also with the network install version of the same date. Eventually I had to turn off secure boot in the BIOS to get the system working.
An older version openSUSE-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-Snapshot20210106-Media.iso does not show this message, but does announce “booting in insecure mode”. However it originally did set up to boot in secure mode as far as I know. At least I never had to switch off the Bios mode before. Windows seems to work regardless on the same machine.
Before I reinstall from the old version and do a massive upgrade I should like to understand what is happening. I don’t necessarily need secure mode either, I just don’t like things changing without explanation.
Any advice would be welcomed.

You are not the only one with this problem.
Yes, that’s a bug for Leap 15.2. But Tumbleweed and Leap 15.2 are using the same “shim.efi”,
