Why not open an account at the Build Service and create an rpm for it? It would then be available through the repos. Or ask someone to create an rpm for it?

Edit: checking http://software.opensuse.org/search search for ‘blender’ already gives a repo with this version :slight_smile:

Compiled with GCC 4.4.1 on openSuse 11.2 64 bit

With static ffmpeg.

That’s why it isn’t in the build service.
But you could probably contribute to Packman repo :wink:
