Last nights update caused problem with CIFS

Prior to last nights update, entering this as root,

“mount /home/bsmith/SharedDrive”

would mount our windows network drive with this in fstab,

//dpwchifs01.dpw.illinois.local/common /home/bsmith/SharedDrive cifs uid=bsmith,credentials=/home/bsmith/bin/cifspw,gid=users 0 0”

and a text file in /home/bsmith/bin named cifspw with the following,

“username=bsmith
password=mypa55w0rd”

However after this morning’s update I now get the following error message:

“mount error(13): Permission denied
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)”

Okay, what has changed?
Please toss me a rope someone. THANKS!

PS…
I also made the following alteration when I set this up some time ago: In /etc/nsswitch.conf, change hosts from top to bottom example,
#hosts: files mdns4_minimal [NOTFOUND=return] dns
hosts: files dns wins

Thanks again.

Nevermind, got it, my config is fine: CIFS is redeemed, not the update either. It was a backend issue. Thanks. Cheers.
