Laptop wireless suddenly stopped working since yesterday.

I’m using Compaq Presario CQ40 115-AU notebook. Wireless chip is Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY [14e4:4315] (rev 01).
Installed 11.3 KDE x86-64,everything work fine, but my wireless suddenly stopped working from yesterday. It found those hot spot around with their name, but once I click to connect it,it doesn’t show the hot spot name, just ‘new wireless connection’,then keep so long to ‘activating’,after all,not connect.
It was ok last week, but now made me headache…
Anyone know the solution? Thanks!

Are you using wl or b43? If b43, please provide the output from ‘dmesg | grep
b43’. If you are using wl, I don’t help with that as I do not believe in
closed-source drivers.

I installed the Packman driver with ‘zypper in broadcom-wl broadcom-wl-kmp-desktop’. Wireless works perfectly since installed 11.3,but screwed after some update last week.
:expressionless:

Do you have a ethernet access too? Otherwise it could be fiddly .

Just to add. I am also using the wl driver (Larry cringes and shakes head in disgust)

But no problems here.

Whenever the kernel is updated, that wl driver will break.

I used it all the way thru 11.2 and never had that.
And no kernel update in 11.3 yet is there?

Ok,it works now. Weird… Don’t know when’d it break down again…
