I decided to buy external monitor. I bought iiyama from G-Master. My laptop is Asus Zenbook Flip 15. I wrote to vendor with questions:
If signal from dGPU came across APU to HDMI port (I search that I should select FreeSync/G-SYNC and to search for monitors with other parameters based on GPU)
It will support FreeSync/AdaptiveSync, G-Sync or Both
What is maximum refresh rate
Vendor told me, signal will route with APU, going from dGPU, do not support G-Sync, do not support Freesync and maximum refresh rate will be 100Hz.
I bought monitor and surprise! I can select 144Hz, select VRR options, select HDR options, etc. I use Plasma6 on Tumbleweed.
My questions:
Does my laptop support VRR or this is only fake switcher
Can I burn monitor/laptop by setting bigger refresh rate than 100Hz?
Does Linux do better than Windows (I do not test this monitor/laptop on Windows, but it came with Windows 10 preinstalled).
What about HDMI port - there is MUX, so signal can go from dGPU directly or inderectly from APU?

HDMI 2.1 supports VRR, HDR, high frequencies, etc.
Up to 188 Hz at 4k 8bpc, 240 Hz with DSC.

I see ports: active: HDMI-A-1,eDP-1 . It is probably display name. I do not see HDMI kind.
When running with sudo, program hangs after displaying swap information.

So, what should I do? Running with root privileges does hang on gathering swap information. Without root rights, I cannot see any useful information.
