I have an acer extensa 5630z with pheonix securecore BIOS. It’s a tripleboot computer with windows xp, opensuse 11.1, and ubuntu 9.04. On all three operating systems, the computer will often not detect the atheros wireless network card when first booting. However, if I reboot, It will always find the network card. Since it happens with all three OSs, it makes me think that this is a BIOS issue. Has anyone had a similar problem and know how to resolve it?
