Hi,
has someone used “Laptop Mode Tools” under GNOME (or KDE) and open SuSe?
I had problems with the gnome-power-manager and before that (under 11.1) generally with suspend to disk (hibernation) and (re-)mounting.
I want to try an alternative.

Laptop-mode-tools is not a substitute for gnome-power-manager or similar.
Laptop-mode-tools is just a set of scripts to do some clever things to save
laptop battery life, like spin down the hard drive.
It has some hooks to use them automatically when switching between
AC/Battery but it can’t substitute for a power manager.
So I just ought to make one or two bug reports (in openSUSE and maybe one in GNOME) for the unwanted action(s) when I plug the power plug out . As long as there is no other solution I will not use save to disk (hibernate) - not manually and not automatically.
But if the Laptop-mode-tools have some benefits: maybe I will test them anyhow later (without deinstalling any power manager).
Thanks to MasterPatricko and greetings to all
