Hello,

it seems I have the same trouble. Except that I had before OpenSuse 10.3 on my laptop where internet works fine and now (fresh installed) OpenSuse 11.

I use a internet connection over wire and a router to which the laptop is directly connected.

I can ping any site, I can even login on another server per ssh but I cannot load any site neither using a browser nor using cmd line tools like wget.

I checked the lan cable and used another one which I use for my current WinXP pc (from which I actually writing these lines) and it is the same trouble, so the cable is fine and the way the router is configured too.

I would be very glad if anyone might give a hint on what may be the problem and how to fix it.

Here is some more info:

Hey people!

Just to tell you I have fix the problem. It was a TCP config. parameter, that seems not to work fine with my router.

I set

sudo echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_window_scaling

and everything starts to work.

Thanks everyone for your help.
