I have a 67 bytes text file which when opened in KWrite is shown blank. However, if I use cat from command line, I am able to see the contents of the file. Please suggest.

Okay, suggesting…
I saw something similar - seems to be a KWrite bug if you are on KDE4.
Try to delete the first character or insert a line to the beginning, after just hit Undo. The full file should be repainted.

Thank you. I think it happens with files that aren’t terminated at a new line.
I’m no longer using KDE4.2 so please search for this bug on http://bugs.kde.org and report it if it doesn’t exists.
