Kwin-x11 question

Hello everyone, I’m running Tumbleweed with KDM and will, after some time, experience desktop “flicker” . When I logoff I see a message stating problems with the desktop manager. Also, the “system activity” monitor indicates multiple instances of “kwin_x11”. While in konsole I start and run the “top” command and find multiple kwin_x11 there as well. I suspect kwin_x11 may be causing the desktop flicker, but will not respond to my “end process” request. Any ideas?

Something else to consider, after I log back on from the desktop flicker there is an “xconsole” pane open on the desktop. What would cause that?
