Is there any way to unify these two PITAS so I only have to enter my password once when ever I start up?
Any idiot’s guides out there for kwallet?>:(
No because they are linked to different applications.
Can’t the gnome applications use the KDE wallet though?
What happens if you uninstall the gnome keyring manager? I’d have thought - and this is speculation, which comes with the usual disclaimer - the worst you’d have to do was reinstall it again…
LOLz @ linux…
So I went to YAST and deleted gnome-keyring…
Yast decided that it should do the following:
Deleting NetworkManager-vpnc-kde4
Deleting NetworkManager-vpnc
Deleting gstreamer-0_10-libnice
Deleting pidgin
Deleting libpurple
Deleting libpurple-lang
Deleting libgstfarsight-0_10-0
Deleting libnice0
Deleting libgupnp-igd-1_0-2
Deleting libgupnp-1_0-3
Deleting libgssdp-1_0-2
Deleting libsoup-2_4-1
Deleting gnome-keyring
Sort of defeats the object! I have never managed to get Kopete working at all. I don’t want to have to remember 100’s of passwords every time I switch on my computer, I just want a simple IM client so that my parents can chat to me when we are both on-line… yawn…
So I fire up kopete…
stephen@linux-oqc9:~> kopete
