hi I just installed opensuse 13.2 and it is opened KWallet automaticcaly at my first login.
now when I try to configure kwallet it ask me what is the system of storing of key. kwallet recommend me of use GPG (it seems better) but if I select it kwallet ask me a key, where can I found it?
thanks
If you are not already familiar with using “gpg”, then my advice would be to use the alternative that “kwallet” offers. If it is too late for that, you can probably delete “$HOME/.kde4/share/config/kwallet*” and start over. Maybe you also have to delete “$HOME/.kde4/share/apps/kwallet/*”.
If you are already familiar with “gpg”, then it asks you which of your “gpg” keys you want to use for encrypting “kwallet”. That’s a choice for you to make. Having chosen that, the passphrase for that key will be needed whenever you open “kwallet”.
I am using the “gpg” option. I chose one of my keys. I configured KDE to never close “kwallet”. That way, I need to open it only once per session (i.e. once per login).
Note that this is a change to “kwallet” from earlier versions of KDE4.
