KVM/Qemu, windows 10, Nvidia 1050 Ti Error 43

Hi, i am using virtual machine manager and i’d like to pass my gpu, a 1050 Ti, to a windows 10 vm, but drivers fails with error code 43.
My windows 10 installation keep dectecting it is inside a virtual machine, could this be the cause?

Dxdiag keep showing QEMU as system manufacturer and in the task manager under cpus it report a virtual machine.
Here is the xml file in use by virtual machine manager:

Following tutorials I added sections:

<vendor_id state='on' value='1234567890ab'/>

<kvm>
  <hidden state='on'/>
</kvm>

xmlns:qemu='http://libvirt.org/schemas/domain/qemu/1.0'

<qemu:commandline>
    <qemu:arg value='-cpu'/>
    <qemu:arg value='host,hv_time,kvm=off,hv_vendor_id=null'/>
</qemu:commandline>

But wont work and i am stuck… Any suggestion?? Thanks :slight_smile:

<vendor_id> is supposed to be inside of <hyperv>…</hyperv>.

Hi, isn’t it?
<hyperv>
<relaxed state=‘on’/>
<vapic state=‘on’/>
<spinlocks state=‘on’ retries=‘8191’/>
<vendor_id state=‘on’ value=‘1234567890ab’/>
</hyperv>

Because what you are trying to do would be considered bleeding edge,
You should start with describing the steps you’ve taken, and a link to any references or guides you’re following.

Specifically,
I posted the following awhile back, but because the references mostly point to “living documentation” (Documentation which is maintained and updated continuously as the technology evolves), I’d consider it still a reliable and authoritative start for anyone who wants to set up a GPU pass through using any virtualization technology
