I need some help here.
I have disabled firewalls.
Using SuSe 11 64 bit and have enabled UPnp in Ktorrent.
I have a router but can’t find any option for port forwarding that will accept any input.
I have a fixed IP address (xplornet).
I have never tried this before so don’t know what other info to give you.
When I try the setup I have I get download speeds from below dialup to zero.

Disabling your firewall is rather drastic. I would never do that. But I sympathise with the frustration you may be facing. You simply have to open up the appropriate ports in your openSUSE firewall to match what you have setup in ktorrent. Don’t take down the entire firewall.

I have a router that puts port forwarding under NAT – maybe look there.

Well thanks for all that effort.
Oldcpu, the auto set up for my router halts at ‘User name and Password’. Nothing I have works. ‘Admin, admin doesn’t work’.

Swerdna, I can’t bring up ‘Change the computer that uses Ktorrent to Fixed IP addressing’ and Network Services seems to require a ‘Gateway’ which is a mystery to me. SuSe 11 might be a bit different from previously…I don’t know.

Are you saying you do not know the password for your router? … ahh … thats rather fundamental and if you can not configure your router, IMHO you won’t make any progress.
