I have the latest kio_extras5 installed but .kra and .xcf files are missing thumbnails in applications such as Dolphin and Digikam.
I need these thumbnails as I use Krita extensively.
AFAIK thumbnailers for those formats are provided by the package “kdegraphics-thumbnailers”, which should be installed by default.
I’ve just checked on both Leap 15.1 and TW (20191211) machines and don’t have an issue with those file types, thumbnails are being generated and displayed.
Check:
“kdegraphics-thumbnailers” is installed, current TW version is 19.08.3-1.1
Dolphin “Settings -> Configure -> General -> Previews” that the thumbnailer is enabled, and that “Show previews of files and folders” is also enabled.
Sorry, forgot to mention… as of yet “kdegraphics-thumbnailers” doesn’t support .xcf files created by Gimp 2.10, only <=2.8
I can see the thumbnails of .kra and .xcf files in thunar in xfce.
This is in tumbleweed.
