KQemu for Opensuse

Hi,

I’m trying to emulate Juniper routers on gns3 using this tutorial .

It says about installing kqemu, that is the gui end of qemu, and according to this tutorial it is available for ubuntu, but when i tried searching for it in opensuse, i could not find it.

Is there anyway i can install KQemu in opensuse… thanks for the help

I never used kqemu as frontend, so I do not know how similar it is to aqemu

AQEMU is GUI to QEMU and KVM emulators, written in Qt4. The program have
user-friendly interface and allows to set up the majority of QEMU and KVM

You can find it in the contrib community repository. Maybe somone else knows
if you can make kqemu work on openSUSE.

I quickly searched for the gui kqemu which is at sourceforge and the last
stable release is from 2006. Looks really dead. I would not use it

Hi Martin,

Thanks a lot for the reply… well in tutorial it says KQemu is accelerator for Qemu.

Without installing KQemu, did u feel any performance issues?

Now I understand , the kqemu you refer to does no longer exist it was used
for old versions of qemu and simply no longer works for the more modern
versions which focus on kvm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QEMU
I never used qemu so long ago (started with it a bit more than a year ago
with v0.12) that the kqemu accelerator existed so I never could compare it.
