KPowersave does not shutdown the computer on Dell laptop

Hi,
I have pensuse 11.0 with kde 4.1.3
I have installed KPowersave. I have configured the Power Button to shutdown the computer, but I press the power button and nothing happens. I have a Dell laptop Inspiron 1720.
Anyone has this problem?
