Korn Kernel

I am trying to load some software (UniGraphics CAD system) on openSUSE 11.1 and found out that Korn must be the default kernel.
Is this possible and if so, how do I do it? I understand that it is not set as the default during installation.

korn is not a kernel.
korn is a shell, just like bash.
It must be already there!
Just type:

ksh

If it is not already installed, install it:

su
zypper install ksh

Korn isn’t a kernel… it’s a shell. You can set a user’s default shell
to be anything you want either by modifying the user properly via usermod
(see man page) or by modifying the /etc/passwd file (or other repository
if not a local user) directly. See the -s option with usermod.

Good luck.

… or just use chsh in terminal to set default shell for the user

Nice alternative. Reminds me of Perl: There’s More Than One Way To Do It.

Good luck.
