Konqueror problems (mouse buttons, search bar)

OpenSUSE 13.1 64bit KDE, Konqueror 4.11.5

I have a couple of problems with Konqueror:

  1. Side mouse buttons. I have a Logitech MX510 mouse with side buttons. On every other application (Dolphin, Rekonq, Seamonkey, Firefox) they act as back/forward buttons but not in Konqueror. I can’t set mouse buttons in “Configure shortcuts”, only keyboard. I’ve only found some very old threads about this but nothing recent.

  2. The search bar. Even though I’ve selected a default search engine, or even if I manually select one just before trying to make a search, nothing happens when I press enter. Type in search bar-> enter-> nothing.

I can live without the search bar but I would like to get the mouse buttons to work. Any ideas?
