Konqueror dialog window very poor

Hi,
Sometimes, in the konqueror dialog window to select a folder o file, I have a problem (for instance in the “save as” option of Firefox):
On the left side of the window it is not displayed my external USB drives or the shortcuts of my Desktop.
See the red circle below (sorry, it’s in spanish), this dialog box is the “save as” of Firefox 3.0, I have Opensuse 11.0 with KDE 3.5:

Is there any way to show the external USB mounted drives and desktops shortcuts in this case?

Just double click ‘Sistema de archivos’

Oh yes I know that. In the “media” folder I have all my external USB drives. But I want a quick and simple way to access to my external USB pendrives and desktop shorcuts, as I used to do in windows (I come from windows).

open the tree as I said and drag device folder over from right to left
