Hi,
I have on freshly installed Leap 15.1 Kodi which i think comes from packman, and it can’t open any video, kodi just disappears and it end up on the desktop (KDE). When i try to run from konsole, when it crash it always crash on segmentation fault every time on another line (for example ) : terminate called after throwing an instance of ‘std::system_error’
what(): Invalid argument
/usr/bin/kodi: line 219:… Can someone confirm that Kodi is working ok on Leap 15.1 ?
Hi, I can confirm that i have had the same problem for some time .
These are the last log messages before the crash :
ibva info: VA-API version 1.3.0
libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib64/dri/r600_drv_video.so
libva info: Found init function __vaDriverInit_1_3
libva info: va_openDriver() returns 0
/usr/bin/kodi: linje 219: 14452 Segmentfejl (smed kerne) ${KODI_BINARY} $SAVED_ARGS
Crash report available at /home/kodi/kodi_crashlog-20190724_203155.log
VA-API was installed 2019-06-03 18:37:14|install|Mesa-libva|18.3.2-lp151.22.4|x86_64| when I did a new install of Leap 15.1 .
As a circumvention today I uninstalled package Mesa-libva as it contains /usr/lib64/dri/r600_drv_video.so which is the last module in the crashlog .
'2019-07-24 20:42:09|remove |Mesa-libva|18.3.2-lp151.22.4|x86_64|
This works for me for now and kodi can playback my *.mkv files.
If i has any other implications I’m not sure .From the log i now get this
libva info: VA-API version 1.3.0
libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib64/dri/r600_drv_video.so
libva info: va_openDriver() returns -1
but for now kodi playback works fine for my *.mkv files .
Today I have testet Leap 15.1 Kodi playback on 3 different machines . Playback works fine with Mesa-libva installed.
It is only an old HP laptop that crashes with a fresh install of Leap 15.1 . I think the problem is related to specific hardware .
