KNetworkManager troubles

Hello!

I have openSUSE 11.0 (i586) + 4.0.4 (KDE 4.0.4 >= 20080505) “release 15.2”, WiFi - Atheros

How to find WiFi in KNetworkManager?
When I open the window “New Connection -> wlan0”, there is no WLAN in the list of networks. While Wireless Access Point works normal, and I really know, that there is network (when I had OpenSUSE + Gnome, network was found normal).

My Wireless Access Point has such setting:
Mode: Access Point
SSID: sabo
Channel: 1
Authentication: Open System
WEP: Enabled
WEP Encryption: 64Bit
Key Type: Hex (10 char.)

I’m sorry, maybe, this question already was here, it’s difficult for me to search in English. :shame:

Does the command

sudo /usr/sbin/iwlist scan

show your AP? If not, perhaps you have not installed the firmware, or
maybe your wireless switch is off. If it does show your AP, then you
are not seeing it in NM because of a problem in mac80211 that has
since been fixed.

Even though your AP does not show in NM, you can still configure it as
long as you know the Essid and the encryption details.
