KNetworkManager isnt working openSUSE 11.2

Hey.Restarted my machine and now I cant get knetworkmanager to run.
I had uninstalled firefox because it kept crashing after approximately 5 seconds of use. The icon for knetwork manager isn’t there in the system tray nor is it anywhere in the kMenu.
Running rpm -qi NetworkManager in konsole as root returns the message networkmanager isnt installed.
Currently accessing the internet from a windows installation.Any ideas on how I can proceed? Is there anyway to use yast as the network manager?
Any help will be appreciated.

The Gnome Network Manager works just fine, but I want my KDE. Ended up having to switch it to ifup in YAST to get it all working in KDE. Why they can’t make KNetwork Manager work is beyond me.

Once I changed it to ifup, it works great.
