There is a new release available. The problem of not updating /etc/resolv.conf (that causes problems resolving DNS and thus no Internet access) has been addressed in this release.

Latest updates do nothing for my E160G Huawei 3G Modem and namserver
issue, except for reseting global network settings to be controlled by ifup.
The release note clearly says this issue is addressed. Yea, I too noticed that KNM is not updating the DNS entries for my 3G mobile modem.
Is this update for opensuse 11.2 ?
From the official update repository ?
Will there be the same update for opensuse 11.1 ?
Have you tried your 3G mobile modem as root user. I have the same problem, but only when I’m logged in as normal user. As root user it works correctly.

Hi, I need your help…
when I installed openSUSE 11.2 last month my E220 Huawei 3G Modem worked fine. now, I have not internet. But if logged in as root works fine, the problem are the other users when they logon the modem does not work. how can I fix this fault?
No, it is not working with root too.
I think, I have a problem because I am not receiving the remote address and it is assuming it as 10.64.64.64. This might not work. (I am receiving other things correctly, local IP, DNS1, DNS2 etc.)
Hello, is anybody ther, that know, haw i can start the wlan from my laptop. i have two systems (win7 and suse_11.2) and win7 the funktion is ok, it need the rtl9192se, but in suse i have no any posibility to strat it. Plaese Help !!!:’(
I have the same problem. As a solution at the moment I first log in as root and use the Knetworkmanager to set up my umts connection. Then I start a new session (without shuting down the root session) and use the internet as normal user. It is not the nicest solution but it works.
I think the problem is that normal users need to belong to a special user group. But I’m no expert and did not find out which group it is. If anybody has an idea to which group the users need to belong to use mobile internet without root permissions please tell me.
Greeds
