`knetworkconfig’ crashes every time I log in (and kcrashmanager is called), which is (probably) preventing me from connecting to the internet. Running knetworkconfig from the command line doesn’t seem to help. This is a brand new problem.
That is a known issue on opensuse 11, you need to do an online update of the knetworkmanager. This will fix this issue but there are still other open issues with the networkmanager that bother me but I learned to live with it.
i have opensuse 11.0 and KDE 3.5 with it my network manager may need the update but which one do i use, theres so many.
Thanks for the advice, but how can I do an online update without a connection?
There is still the CLI on TTY1 with Yast in ncurses (text mode).
Set your network with a fixed ip or DHCP with ifup in yast, eventually reboot if needed and try updating.
