Knetmanager -wireless active

Ello All,

I installed openSUSE 11.0 (i586) 3.5.9 “release 49.1” on my Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop.

Problem is every time I start the laptop. I believe Knetmanager (grn icon on task bar - grey when wireless is disable) show wireless active. I remember when I used Suse Pro 9.3 once I disable the wireless is stay disable until I enable it.

I figure I could turn it off in the BIOS but want the software option when out and about.

Thanks to that respond

If you go to YaST > Network Devices > Network Settings and Edit your wireless device settings, you’ll find there’s an option for activating your wireless card. Currently, it’s obviously configured to activate at boot, but you can try out the other activation methods listed, or even disable it completely.
Cheerz!
