Does anyone know how to make KMail download all messages, new and old?
I have an email client on my android phone as well as KMail on this computer. Its important for me to be able to see all my old messages for reference.
Thanks in advance!

if you are using gmail for example that setting have to be made on gmails site. I think it is something like “allow pop for all mail” or something like that. You can also try imap with offline mode.
This probably goes for most mail providers. Settings are made on the server.

depends on your mail source…
another has given info on gmail…
but, if you use (say) an ISP for mail service, and you before now had
set your android mail client to give the IPS’s mail server the command
to not keep a copy of mail you have read/downloaded…then the ISP
usually dumps the mail, and it is no longer available on that server
and no switch movements in KMail can put them back on the server so
you can download them into KMail again…
however, in the times we live in they may be required by the
government to keep all email forever (so they can look for tax cheats
or ‘terrorist’…so, it may be available, but maybe not to you
unless you pay a fee to have them “recovered”…
so, check you android and see if the mail setup is set to something
like “leave messages on server” if not they are mostly gone…
ask your ISP…
