Currently using Suse 12.3 with KDE , Kontact, Kaddressbook all 4.11.1.
Our need is to be able to send group emails for various committees & sub-committee members, the numbers in each group are generally less than 30 or so.
We have been able to create a group using kontact and added email addresses to it, however when adding the address into a kmail message the group name appears and no addresses are added to the email. My wife much to her annoyance then has to individually add the addresses.
Is there some trick that is needed to use a distribution or Group list in Kontact or Kmail.
Would appreciate any advice here as it is rather important to get this working?
Thanks
John
Unfortunately, it looks like nothing has improved since you raised this last time?

I guess search for existing bug reports and add to them…
AFAIK, for distribution lists to work your contacts have to be indexed by Nepomuk.
So check in Configure Desktop->Desktop Search that Nepomuk and the EMail Indexer are enabled and working.
I have no idea if and how well it works though since I never used that feature.
I daresay I thought that the newer releases would have this working, the original query was over 12 months ago.
I will keep working at it and try to check the bug lists.

Maybe switch to Thunderbird it works there
