KINTERNET

Hi, i have heard that K internet has a bug in it that lets it not automatically connect to the internet, is this true?

Also, what other programs can i use on 11.2 KDE that will let me connect when i boot?

Thanks

What is “K internet”?

the KDE internet dial-up or connection

Use KNetworkManager.

When i click to open KNetworkManager, it brings an icon into the notification area and then it won’t open. It reads Network Management disabled.

Currently, you may be having “traditional” mode that will disable the network manager. Go to Yast network settings and you can change that.

Don’t have dial-up modems on any of my machines so that’s why I haven’t come across it. As others suggest, use Knetworkmanager. I was asking partly out of curiosity, partly because I saw that noone had answered you so I thought I’d be as good as a “bump”. Glad it worked, and good luck!

Thanks, maybe one of you could help me here to, i can’t get my internet configured without it freezing up on me, here is the thread

I was never able to configure a pppoe connection over knetworkmanager
