KInternet, ADSL and bridging...

Hi,

I wanted to setup a bridge, to get host interface networking in VirtualBox. I managed to do that and have a working network between host and guest.

However, my ADSL is not working after the bridge was set up.Then I deleted everything and setup eth0 and dsl0 again. Everything was working fine, no matter whether eth0 is set up with no IP, static IP or DHCP assigned one. ADSL stops working as soon as I add eth0 to the bridge…

All configuration is done through YAST (i tried manually, following this:Virtualbox Network Bridging - openSUSE and results were the same)

eth0: no IP, promisc;
vb0: 10.2.26.248; 255.255.255.224
dsl0: DHCP

Any help appreciated. Thank you.

vb0 shown above is the bridge and should read br0, sorry.

I just tried to use rp-pppoe instead of KInternet but results were the same :frowning:
