Kino - MPEG tab greyed out

I have a .mov that I wanted to add a watermark to. I was able to successfully import it into Kino 1.3.4 (I got it from the SuSE repository, not from the pacman repo). I do have the mjpegtools (ver. 1.9.0-3.1) and I just got encode2mpeg 0.6.4-0 and Yast changed some packages (I don’t remember which ones)

I tried exporting it but the mpeg tab is greyed out, I cannot use it. So, I tried to export it using the “other” tab and chose “quicktime DV (ffmpeg)” and I was able to get a video file from that, however, Xine says it can’t play it, Kaffeine tries to play it but there’s no picture and Mplayer plays it fine. All 3 of these programs can play the original .mov just fine without any error messages.

So, why is the mpeg tab greyed out and I wonder if there’s something wrong with the encoder that Kino is using to make .mov’s?

I’m running SuSE 11.2.
