Killing tracker-extract

This recently began chewing up my CPU. Why is it all of the sudden taking %50+ of my dual core? Tried killing it in system activity and cannot.
Any advice appreciated.

Suse 11.3 Linux 2.6.34.7-0.3-desktop x86_64
Kde 4.4.4

My suggestion is to uninstall Tracker, that is what I did. I have not seen any issues caused by its removal. I too saw a lot of CPU & Disk activity as long as it was installed. Open up YaST / Software Management and search on tracker. There are five potential files that could be installed. Uninstall all of them and restart openSUSE and you should be rid of this menace.

Happy to help DigitalCore. I am not sure what triggers this program to be installed, but it does not show up on every install of openSUSE, but when it does, it really can slow up your PC operation.
