Kickoff vs. Lancelot which one do you prefer?

i do not like Kickoff menu in kde. i recently informed about Lancelot menu.
i want to know is it better than Kickoff menu (in terms of user interface, user friendliness and running without problem and bug in openSUSE 12.1)?
how can i install it in openSUSE 12.1?
thanks

Did you try the classic menu style for Kickoff, it’s more like windows ladder menu? [unlock widgets, right click button, select classic style]

The great thing about Opensuse is you can choose which one works for you. So to answer your question which do **YOU **prefer?
You Like Lancelot? Use that! You like Kickoff? Use that!
It doesn’t matter what is the preferred by most here it’s your set up do it your way.

yes, i tried that but it UI was outdated.

The package “plasma-addons-lancelet” is part of the standard KDE install.

Become ‘root’:
$ su -

(1) # zypper refresh && zypper install plasma-addons-lancelot

(2) # yast2 > Software > Software Management
[find the package and install]

i installed lancelot but it has a small problem:
when i forward into more than one menu in lancelot (for example: lancelot menu>>>applications>>>system>>>configuration), how can i backward? i click on “system” thumbnail above the lancelot menu but it does not work (but in kickoff it works). i should add that when i click on two level before (for example in above situation, when i click on
applications) it back one level (come from configuration to system) but if i click on system it does not back.
how can i solve this problem?
