Howzit Folks?
I’ve been ignoring this for the last few releases but it’s finally got to me and I’d like to get it sorted out. Searching the forum and googling hasn’t turned up any comparable errors so I will defer to the esteemed members of this forum.
When I build indexes with khelpcenter I get various errors which aren’t particularly helpful in diagnosing the problem.
- Warning: unknown locale!
- htdig: Errors to take note of: Unknown host or unable to contact server: http://localhost/file:/usr/share/doc/manual/opensuse-manuals_en/manual/ Ref:
- Htdig error: Unable to read word database file ‘/home/bruce/.kde4/share/apps/khelpcenter/index//opensuse-manuals_en.words.db’
Did you run htdig?
The 1st 2 errors are from the output of the index build process and the 3rd error is from the actual search output.
I don’t know whether the index build errors have anything to do with the actual search error but obviously the double / i.e. // is a problem, whether it is a symptom or a cause I am yet to identify.
Please will you help me to eliminate these errors, The output of the index build process can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/edit?id=1GuXmY-4ZgnZtl9TgomvKerELus_XXS-oabIlmChzQbg&hl=en_GB
My system configuration can be found here: Show Box
Any help will be much appreciated.
Cheers
Bruce
