KGpg will not open on OpenSuSE 12.3 running KDE. It opened the first time I used it, now whenever I go kickoff > applications > utilities > security > encryption tool or even kickoff > search > kgpg and select it to run the “working” mouse cursor is displayed for many seconds but then stops and kgpg does not open at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but still I encounter the same problem. Please tell me how to fix this error!!!
Can you look, whether a process is running, please?
ps aux | grep KGpg
Thank you!
I think I have made a discovery. It is open, but in the system tray! That means it does open but does not display that it is open you must find it in the system tray and ask it please to open. But now when I choose to encrypt the file it is displaying key options that no longer exist! Can you please tell me how to fix this one please?
If instead of starting KGpg from kickoff – from Dolphin right click on the file you wish to encrypt/decrypt, choose Actions, from there you have the choice to encrypt the file, or if it is already encrypted, to decrypt it. (KGpg will place itself in the system tray afterwards.)
Alternatively, from the KGpg system tray icon, right click and select configure KGpg. Under the Misc setting there is an option to have KGpg start at login, again it will place itself in the system tray ready for use whenever you need it.

Again, select from the KGpg system tray icon, right click and select Keymanager. See what keys you have created.
