Hi! I’m on Acer Nitro 5 new laptop, and I’ve noticed that I need to do a lot of pressure on keyboard or sometimes it miss characters. Can I do something to decrease the needed pressure or it’s just an hardware fact and I can’t do anything? Thanks!
It is probably a hardware issue.
Once upon a time, long long ago, computers used to come with good keyboards that had a good feel. But for the last 15-20 years, the keyboards have seemed like cheap junk. I’ll have to admit, however, that I rarely have miskeying problems, so perhaps they are not as bad as they seem. But, based on your description, you may have a rather poor one.
Thanks for the real but sad news I just hope it will be better with use (don’t say nothing, let me hope :D)
There are still a couple of reputable keyboard manufacturers around – my Linux CyMotion is still OK but, my wife’s new “Stream” is so quiet – I’m thinking about also buying one some time …
- You can work out who the keyboard’s manufacturer is yourself …
