keyboard problem

English Install/Boot/Login

Hi,
i succeeded to install beta 5 with a french keyboard BUT
when i’m logging the user id and the password need to be put with the english keyboard AND when i’m logged, the keyboard doesn’t work any more!!!
some body helps?:open_mouth:

hit Alt+Ctrl+F1, login as root, then
init 3
sax2
and reconfigure the keyboard.

If that doesn’t play a role, login to KDE, Gnome, whatever you use as a GUI and set your language there.

Hi,
thanks for this answer but i can’t use any key on my key board when i am logged
i can just log as root with english keyboard
i can’t log in safe mode because the keyboard doesn’t work at all
What can i do?

when you boot, add the kernel option “1” or “3”. This will bring you to the command line. Run sax2 now.

Not even on the command line, when you boot into a non-graphic runlevel?
