it’s usb and plugged at the back of the pc, i plugged it at the front and it’s not helping .
Don’t you find that amazing that a keyboard is not working at the 1st screen and works a tiny bit after ?
(after this 1st screen code comes, and then a grey screen, there i can strike Escape)
hi,
i checked the md5 with k3b, it was ok, burning too but checking media was ko it could not read sector so i stop the control process. K3b is often doing me so : burning ok but controlling is ko but the dvd is always ok nonetheless.
I did not used the dvd auto_check itself, for keyboard is not available (…)
but my logitech illuminated is brand new and the other i had is broken …
so i’m trying to get this logitech keyboard work :
kernel module is loaded (logitech module after mkinitrd)
bios is enabled for usb 2 and usb legacy, it says that if i have usb problem i can disable usb legacy, i tried but it does not help.
i’m writing with this keyboard right now, it’s just wrong at the beginning of the boot process , but can’t enter bios with it, nor use the options in opensuse 12.3 boot screen or in os 12.3 dvd boot screen (language, installation …)

hmmmm…it seems the new logitech one is also ‘broken’ until you (or
someone) figures out where/how to get a working driver…
that is far beyond my capability–i can’t really directly help
anymore–the following may or may not be useful to you:
if i were in the situation you are in i’d probably use a different
(working) keyboard and put that non-working-new keyboard on the
shelf–and hope someday the driver makers make one that works with
your choice of operating systems…
or sell it for as much as you can get WHILE it still smells new and
you have the box, all contents etc etc etc!
alternatively you might find a fix in a forum containing a few linux
users but LOTs of logitech illuminated keyboard users (instead of
where you are now, with all linux users and almost no logitech
illuminated keyboard users)…
in fact, i’d think the maker and seller of the keyboard would be
interested in making their keyboard work in as many different
settings as possible…so, if you could find a logitech support
forum you might find a hacker who thinks s/he might have the driver
you need…heck, maybe all you have to do is go to the logitech site
and pick up the driver already waiting for you . . . *
after years of purchasing the latest and greatest off the shelf in
the nearby “computer store” i have gotten to where i make a deal with
the seller that i can bring back the new goodie if it doesn’t work
with my machine–and i do some pre-purchase discovery of what my
fellow linux users have experienced…like, here:
