Keyboard disfunctioning...

My keyboard disfunctioning in openSUSE suddenly, and i thought it occur due to the improper shut down process of Vista.After i restart the computer i still having the same problem(cannot input any data from keyboard).Any solution?

Does it work in Vista?
Does it work during the boot process? Can you, e.g., switch between various OSes to launch in grub?

If that all works, start Opensuse and pass the kernel option “3” without the quotes. Boot into the command line, login as root and launch
sax2
to reconfigure your keyboard.

yes,i can use it normally in vista,grub loader,and even in switching user interface in opensuse(to key in username and password).
The only problem now is —>i need to press a key more than 1 sec to key in a word(and it key in double eg. if i press a it show aa, b it show bb and so on).
I try to configure it by using sax2 but it doesn’t work.I don’t understand why it occur such problem suddenly because it work normal previously.confuse…:frowning:

Sounds more like the system is under heavy load. Can you check please? Ctrl+Esc in KDE, else use top.

Yes,i boot into the command line, login as root and launch
sax2
to reconfigure my keyboard.The keyboard work well in there…when i back into the opensuse,the problem still there.
I don’t know whether my system is overloading, I’m using KDE4.0.(always crashed…(sigh…)…).
I would like to do it in hard way----format it(into Gnome)>:)

Try updating to KDE4.1. I remember keyboard issues with the KDE4 version shipping with Opensuse 11.
