I recently bought a Netgear WN111v2 USB Wireless adaptor, after installing compat-wireless at the advice found on another thread (possibly on another forum) i found that plugging the USB adaptor in causes both moy keyboard and mouse to stop responding. During this time the keyboard lights flash. Unplugging the USB adaptor doesnt help at all, it stays in the exact same, non-responsive state.
I then did a hard shutdown and started up my computer with th adaptor already plugged in, in the verbose boot mode it gets to the part about the random number generator and does the same thing, the lights on the keyboard start flashing and the computer stops doing anything.
I did notice that during the verbose boot mode one of the lines says this;
WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/xen_pvdrivers it will be ignored in a future release
I’m not sure if this is the problem because tbh i havent really looked out for anything before, so i wouldn’t know if it’s normally there. I apologise for the slightly rambling post, but i hope its given somebody enough info so they can help me out.
Thanks in advance
Nick
